Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) programmes can assist you with a mining qualification. Even if you are unable to read or write, the Abet programme will teach you basic numeracy and literacy skills before providing you materials to study for a mining qualification. There are also numerous short courses on which you can enrol that will teach you about safety and security in the workplace. Added value courses such as life skills training will also help you function better in a personal capacity.
