ABET and the banking sector

Employees in the banking sector in South Africa have higher skill levels than other industries that require blue collar workers and labourers. However, there is always a need for the advancement of skills in the sector to enable employees to rise above their current job position and status. BANKSETA and the banking community understand this and provide their employees with Adult Basic Education and Training as well as more advanced courses. The BANKSETA provides funds to an employer in the banking sector or the employer can use a preferred ABET facilitator who will be compensated directly by BANKSETA for the internal education and training of employees.
