There are a few differences between child and adult learning that necessitate the usage of a different approach when teaching adults as opposed to children. Studies have shown that adults often lack self-esteem when it comes to adult learning. People with no prior schooling suffer the most from a lack of self esteem and fear of failure. They have never been admired by peers for their educational accomplishments and the day to day frustration of for instance, not being able to sign on forms or read important notices, build up and eventually lead to feelings of failure. As such adult learning courses must be presented in such a way that learners will build confidence in their abilities and will see almost immediate results. This is what we aim for through our adult learning courses and it is also the reason why we have such a high pass rate.
