Business should ensure that ABET service providers have the correct accreditation in order to make sure that employees are receiving the proper instruction to enable them to progress through the levels of the Adult Basic education and Training program successfully. Should the ABET service provider not be accredited with the correct governmental structure then all qualifications received by the learner will be rendered null and void. This will not only affect staff morale but will be extremely costly, both in terms of its effect on the businesses bottom line and in terms of wasted time. Employers must review the relevant documentation relating to accreditation prior to retaining the services of an ABET provider.
