Training for disabled individuals

Government will share the cost of the training
The Bill of Rights in the South African Constitution outlaws discrimination on any ground, including disability. To address barriers to employment the NSDS requires the SETAs to open training opportunities through learnerships for persons with disabilities. Because of the urgency of addressing this matter the government will share the cost of the training through tax incentives and rebates. The benefits of learnerships for persons with disabilities are:
Contribution towards your BEE Scorecard;
Provision of skilled and experienced workers;
Improved productivity and quality; and
Identification of skills gap and training opportunities.
