The Department of Labour IN South Africa has set targets and made available funds to SETA’s within various industry sectors to ensure that the workforce has access to the Adult Basic Education and Training programme. It has made available learning centres and trained facilitators to meet growing demand of educating people that have received little to no education to date. Grants have also been made available to corporations and companies in these sectors to ensure that they are involved in educating their labourers and workers. The aim is to ensure that as many South Africans have access to education so that they may improve their employment and live a higher quality of life within society.
