Numerous factors affect adult basic training and education. One of the most prevalent factors is that of the knowledge already gained earlier in life. The more knowledge an adult has about a specific subject even through informal learning earlier in life the faster the learning as adult. As such it is essential to pre-assess the level of knowledge before commencing with an adult basic training program. This is why we screen each of the attendees and assess their present level of skills in for instance, English communication before we commence with the course. This helps us to meet the learner at his or her level and ensure that the learner doesn’t get frustrated by the course content and pace.
