Triple E Training Holdings (Pty) Ltd has received full accreditation from Umalusi as an AET/ABET Provider. This is a true milestone as there have been NO providers accredited, fully, previously. It is a noteworthy achievement for Triple E Training, Umalusi and indeed for ABET itself.
Full accreditation gives status to ABET, which at times is left at the bottom of the education-and-training-to-do list. The fundamental training of adults is after all an embarrassing fact to have to face by a nation because the foundational skills should have been facilitated much earlier than adulthood. Departments and suchlike have tended to leave ABET right under the mat. Full accreditation gives this vital training importance. The fact is, it’s a massive need in South Africa and the sooner we deal with it, the sooner it will disappear and make places for other development.
Will it make that much difference to be fully accredited? Yes, it will. It means that after 22 years of offering ABET, 13 years of working with Umalusi towards this accreditation and many site visits from the Umalusi team, we can finally say that we are fully compliant in the following aspects:
- Mission directed leadership & management
- Teaching and training
- Learning and assessment
- Learner support
- Institutional performance evaluation & review.
And this is not the end! This is actually just the beginning. This will directly and positively affect all our learners. We are proud and we are even more determined to offer adults in South Africa a truly enriching and empowering experience. We are taking Umalusi accreditation very seriously.
